Pine Lake is the smallest city in DeKalb County, and one of the most distinctive. It started in the 1930s as a weekend retreat built around a lake on Snapfinger Creek, and today its cottages, wooded lots and restored wetlands still give it the feel of a getaway just off Rockbridge Road.
